Job Vacancy For Country Director



Role Summary

• To provide leadership for the country office for the employees and projects of the organisation towards its expansion drive.

Responsibilities

• Financial stewardship: Manage budgets, secure funding and ensure compliance with donor agreements and regulations
• Project implementation: Develop and implement organisational country strategies per donor request and project principal needs, oversee the implementation of projects within the country office
• Team Leader: build a high-performing team, foster talent development and cultivate a positive work environment
• Programme champion: Drive programme development, implementation and evaluation, ensuring alignment with SENDs mission. Increase organisational impact through innovation, effective monitoring and evaluation
• Strategic Thinker: Develop and implement effective strategies to expand SENDs reach and impact in Ghana
• Public Figure: Represent SEND Ghana at national and international events, build and manage strong relationships with stakeholders
• Advocate for Gender Equality: Champion gender equality within SEND and across Ghanaian society

Qualification Required & Experience

Person and Job Specification

• Master's Degree in Social Development, advocacy, or NGO management or any related degree
• At least 7 years of experience within the NGO space, 3 of which should be at the Senior Management level
• Proven track record of successful programme development implementation and fundraising
• Ability to write winning project proposals
• Strong financial management skills and experience in donor compliance
• Demonstrated leadership and team building abilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Deep understanding of the Ghanaian context and development landscape
• Passion for social justice and commitment to gender equality
