A reputable Community Bank in the Eastern Region is looking for suitable, qualified and motivated individuals for appointment as Credit Officers.

Key Responsibilities

•Identify and assess prospective customers for credit facilities.
•Receive, review, and appraise loan applications in accordance with the Bank’s credit policies and procedures.
•Conduct credit investigations, customer interviews, and field visits to verify applicants’ information and assess creditworthiness.
•Prepare credit appraisal reports and make recommendations for loan approval.
•Monitor loan accounts and ensure timely repayment of credit facilities.
•Follow up on overdue loans and support effective loan recovery efforts.
•Mobilise deposits and develop strong relationships with customers.
•Maintain accurate credit records and prepare periodic reports.
•Ensure compliance with the Bank’s policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants must:

•Possess a minimum of 1 st Degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
•Have relevant experience in credit administration, lending, loan recovery, or microfinance experience will be an advantage.
•Demonstrate strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
•Be computer-literate in Microsoft Office suite
•Be honest, disciplined, customer-focused, and results-driven.
•Be willing to travel and undertake field visits as required.
•Ability to ride motorbikes will be an advantage
