Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain NMEP databases (e.g. DHIMS2 and malaria surveillance systems), ensuring data integrity and security, under the supervision of the Chief Health Information Officer
• Coordinate the collection, collation, cleaning and validation of routine malaria data from regions and districts and conduct regular data quality checks and assessments
• Analyse programmatic malaria data and generate reports, dashboards and visualizations for decision-making
• Provide technical support and capacity building to regional and district data officers on data management and reporting tools
• Support the preparation of periodic NMEP reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual) and donor reports, as well as the data needs of surveys, surveillance and operational research
• Maintain documentation of data management processes, systems and standard operating procedures, and ensure data is securely backed up in line with data protection protocols
• Collaborate with relevant partners to develop health management information systems for planning, monitoring and evaluation and dissemination of malaria elimination data.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Public Health or a related field, a Master's Degree in a related field is an advantage
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in data management, preferably within a public health or monitoring and evaluation (M&E) setting

Competencies

• Proficiency in DHIMS2 and other health information management systems
• Strong skills in data analysis software (e.g. Excel, SPSS, Stata, R, PowerB)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Effective communication, report writing, data visualization and capacity-building skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to travel to regions and districts for data support and supervision.
