Job Purpose

• To diligently project a good public image of the hospital and manage the concerns and expectations of clients and the general public

Qualification Required & Experience

• Senior Communications Professional (Not below the rank of Principal) with postgraduate qualification (Masters or above) in Public Relations/Communication Studies or related field and a minimum of 10 years working experience in the health sector, 5 years of which should be at senior management level or
• A bachelor's degree in public relations or communication studies with at least a postgraduate certificate in health communication and 15 years working experience in public relations/corporate affairs in a supervisory position, 10 years of which should be at senior management level
• Membership of the institute of public relations, Ghana journalists association and/or other relevant professional body may be an advantage
• Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in public relations management
• A broad knowledge base and experience of health sector policies and operating procedures
• Proven knowledge and expertise in public relations

General Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must note that:

• All positions are full time jobs based in Kumasi.
• Positions are top level appointments with a fixed term engagement
• Successful applicants shall remain staff of the Ministry of Health throughout the tenure
• Subsequent tenure will be through process approved by the Board
