Job Vacancy For Director/Administrator



An international school situated at Airport Residential Area is recruiting a School Director/Administrator.

ROLE SUMMARY

• The school’s Academic Director is in charge of all aspects of the preschool program.
• This includes, but not limited to, teaching pupils, hiring staff, managing enrollment and observing and overseeing the day-to-day activities within the program.
• The program is designed to offer parents a high-quality choice in early years education and to ensure every child is prepared for a smooth transition into Kindergarten or Year 1.
• The program is based on the best practices in early learning and within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee all operations and procedures of the preschool.
• Oversee and direct the planning, organising, and implementation of the School approved curriculum, in addition to classroom teacher duties which include: developing and implementing individual educational plans for pupils.
• Create an annual resource budget for the school, to be approved by the School Board- work within approved budget, and order curriculum and supplies.
• Ensure that policies and procedures of the school are being followed along with appropriate forms of discipline.
• Ensure all rules and regulations from authourised and relevant national and international regulators are implemented.
• Plan special school activities, back to school days, graduation and holiday programs as well as putting the school calendar together each year.
• Build, establish and maintain positive relationships in the community that supports a diverse pupil population and the vision and mission of the preschool.
• Be active in pupil development and care by being aware of changes the pupils are dealing with, keeping track of illnesses and by giving a listening ear to all pupils
• Conduct tours and actively seek new pupils for all aspects of the School’s programmes
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Qualification Required & Experience

• B.A or B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATION:

• Current CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions certification (or willing to obtain within first 30 days)

WORK SKILLS

• Strong organizational, planning and implementation skills
• Experience or knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage
• Knowledge of curriculum design, teacher evaluation and observation methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, presentation, database,
• E-mail and internet computer applications.
