Job Vacancy For Director of Finance & Administration At Mt. Olivet Methodist Academy

To direct and oversee all financial and management accounting activities of the Academy and the church, including the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for the management.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Supports the school Management Commitee(SMC) and the Church in preparation of budgets and financial reports, including income statements and reports, including income statements and reports for Government regulatory agencies.
•   Contributes to the financial achievement of the Academy and the Church's and supervises the staff of the Finance Department of the Academy and the Church
•   Responsible for the financial management of all subsidiary interests of the church and the academy.

Qualification Required & Experience

Skills / Attributes Required

•   Qualification as a Chartered Accountant
•   Significant managerial experience (3 years or more)
•   Senior level experience of managing financial operations (educational institution and /or church experience may be helpful
•   Senior level experience of corporate governance
•   Computer literate with knowledge in appropriate accounting software.
•   Meets with the SMC of the Academy and the Finance Committee of the Church regularly to keep them informed and to offer direction.
•   Reviews reports and analyses projections of sales and income against actual figures and suggests methods of improving the planning process.
•   In conjunction with the management of the Academy and the church, assesses the long - term financial trends and reviews prospects for future growth of revenue
•   To ensure the Academy and the Church meet their financial and statutory responsibilities
