Job Vacancy For Driver At Sustainable Fisheries Management Project (SFMP)



The Sustainable Fisheries Management Project (SFMP) is a 5-year food security project, headquartered in Accra. It seeks to rebuild targeted marine fisheries stocks (which are depleted but important to the local economy) through the adoption of sustainable fishing practices and exploitation levels. The project contributes to the government of Ghana's fisheries development objectives and will work closely with government agencies, fisheries authorities, policy makers and fisher folks in the entire coastal stretch of Ghana to achieve these goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

•   To drive the vehicle safely and responsibly
•   To understand the mechanics of vehicles and vehicle maintenance and repair
•   To work long hours, including early mornings and weekends, sometimes at short notice
•   Ability to learn vehicles policies, procedures and documentation and adhere to them
•   To adhere to excellent communication skills and be a team player
•   Provide country information and other genera! assistance to official visitors
•   Assist office Coordinator with various administrative and logistical need of the office

Qualification Required & Experience

•   At least a Senior Secondary School Certificate
•   A valid driver's license, with a minimum of 5 years driving experience
•   Abundant energy with good health status
•   Ability to drive long distance on hard and difficult terrain
•   Knowledge of computer use is helpful, though not essential
