Job Vacancy For EHS Contracts Advisor At JLP (Ghana) Engineering Solutions



Our client is a leading independent oil and gas production company in Europe with a focused portfolio on world-class assets in West Africa, East Africa and Southern America. Applications are invited from suitably qualified to fill the following position

Job Purpose

To develop and deploy the company’s SCM EHS policies, procedures and tools to support SCM operations and to coach/develop local EHS/SCM Advisors and SCM Line Managers/Staff to be compliant  EHS policies and procedures

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deploy the Company’s SCM policies, approaches and tools to enable Contracts & Procurement SCM staff to:

•   Evaluate and review Pre Qualifications, ITTs and Contracts to ensure appropriate EHS requirements are include as well as verification of vendor reviews/site visits
•   Develop, implement and manage EHS supplier contract audits and work with internal stakeholders to enhance the local suppliers’ EHS awareness
•   Review and amend Contracts & Procurement EHS processes to ensure compliance with the Company’s Guidelines
•   Support EHS improvement initiatives and conduct analysis of contractor performance

Develop and deploy the company’s SCM policies, approaches and tools to enable Logistics SCM staff to:

•   Undertake risk assessments for operational SCM activities through EHS monitoring and liaising with internal stakeholders for all the Company’s lifting, road movements, rig moves, contractors,field logistics, third party equipment contractors,warehouse/yard facilities, Air/Marine facilities/suppliers, hotel/accommodation
•   Support incident investigation and implementation of Defensive Driving

Interface with the Company’s EHS leads to:

•   Ensure consistency of working across the EHS/SCM organisation
•   Support the design,deployment and use of appropriate EHS KPI’s for SCM

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree or equivalent with NEBOSH qualifications with at least 10 years of experience in Health, Safety & Environmental positions: ideally gained in Operator Environment

Skills

•   Relevant experience in Oil and Gas operations
•   Relevant experience in Africa and/or Green Field Location
•   Relevant exposure to Supply Chain Operations, ideally including Lifting, road transport and aviation
•   Excellent skills in MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel
