We are seeking applications for suitable candidates for the following position: Enterprise Development And Investment Advisor

Responsibilities:

•   Facilitates the development of a firm’s technical and managerial capacity to improve its profitability and increasingly receive operational and investment financing from the formal financial sector
•   Encourages inter-firm relationships and the development of service markets that enhance value chain, performance between and among businesses “and their ‘trading partners
•   Facilitates the development of contracting techniques to more effectively address the collateral requirements of formal lending institutions
•   Monitors the performance of participating GPP client-enterprises and documents all changes (both qualitatively and quantitatively) in line with the GPP M&E framework and guidelines
•   Identifies and helps mobilize Short Term Technical Assistance to address financial management/ enterprise development needs, both sector-wide and for individual enterprises
•   Assists in the dissemination of results and recommendations to beneficiaries and partner groups
•   Incorporates GPP gender mainstreaming and environmental management plans into daily operations

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture or a related field from a recognized university. Master’s Degree (MBA) in financial management, finance, agribusiness development, desirable
•   Minimum five (5) years of experience in a management position, providing business development, banking/financial services to the private sector
•   Proven ability to develop business competitiveness strategies, train, and advise business on how to grow and strategically invest
•   Excellent critical thinking skills and judgment
•   Proven willingness to make timely and sound decisions
•   Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
•   Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a, team environment, in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures
