Job Vacancy For Executive Assistant At National Inspectorate Board



The National Inspectorate Board is a newly-established agency of the Ministry of Education mandated by Parliament under the 2008 Education Act (Act 778) to provide an independent external evaluation of the quality and standards in basic and second cycle educational institutions in the country, both public and private. The main objective of the Board is to provide a diagnosis of what a school must do to improve.

In order to carry out its functions, the Board intends to constitute inspection panels that will undertake supervision and inspection visits to the schools focusing on:

•  The quality of leadership and management in the schools
•  The quality of teaching and learning
•  The standard of academic achievement
•  The academic, physical, and recreation facilities available
•  The system of internal and external examinations
•  The values emphasized and taught, and
•  The parental and community involvement in the schools

Job Summary

The Board is now recruiting the above category of administrative and technical personnel, to support its operations.

Duties:

•  Arrange and prepare meetings and take accurate minutes of such meetings, in consultation with the Chief Inspector of Schools. Deputies and Administrative Manager
•  Edit/Supervise work of Administrative Secretary
•  Manage appointments and prompt Chief Inspector of Schools and Deputies, when due
•  Organize and manage office fillings and records systems
•  Attend and record meetings with Chief Inspector of Schools and Deputies
•  Any other assignments, as instructed by Chief Inspector of Schools and Deputies

Salary and Conditions of Service: Salary and conditions attached to the position is in conformity with the Single Spine Pay Policy for public sector workers

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A good degree in Management Studies, or similar qualification
•  Ability to work with minimal supervision
•  Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  1-2 years experience in similar role will be an advantage
