Job Vacancy For Experienced Surface Data Logging Geologist (Offshore/Onshore Based) At Halliburton

Key Job Roles:

•   Be disciplined and focused on Health, Safety and Environmental aspects of the drilling operation
•   Under broad direction, independently apply advanced geological interpretation techniques, make decisions on geological and fundamental engineering problems and methods and represent the organization in conferences to resolve important questions, or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations
•   Responsible for the success of all phases of assigned well site monitoring jobs, therefore set performance standards for the crew
•   Gather accurate and factual logging information (Depth, Gas Units and Composition, Rate of Penetration, Lag Time, Pressure detection data, etc)
•   Interpret logging information to determine occurrence and composition of any oil and/or gas shows which occur while drilling
•   Analyze and document according to SDL zone og interest and/or show reports
•   Provides lithological descriptions of all formations drilled and identify formation name, group or member.
•   Assemble mud logging information into mud logs and drilling database following establish SDL and/or customer guidelines and procedures
•   Communicate mud logging information to customers as necessary to fulfil their requirements (morning report, show notification, engineering problems, delivery og mud logs)
•   Perform any specialized tests or gathers any additional data as required by the customer
•   Perform safe, neat professional rip-up and tear-down when needed
•   Ensure smooth transitions at crew changes and shift changes
•   Complete training appointments as necessary to obtain safety, offshore or other operations, or customer specific certificates in order to be able to go the designated rig site(s)

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Undergraduate degree in Geology, Petroleum Engineering, Earth Science or related science degree
•   Must have at least 3 years mud-logging experience
•   Proficient at computer operation, trend monitoring, data handling and processing
•   Be enthusiastic and able to work independently and as part of a team
•   Must possess strong communications and organizational skills
•   Able to deliver superior performance under pressure
•   Strong business acumen and sense of initiative
•   Career driven, desire to grow in a multicultural and global organization
