Akim Bosome Community Bank LTD is inviting qualified Ghanaian audit firms to submit proposals for consideration as the Bank's External Auditors for the forthcoming financial year, subject to the approval of the Bank of Ghana.

Terms of Reference

•Conduct an independent audit of the Bank's financial statements in accordance with the international standards on Auditing (ISA), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) and the Banks and Specialized Deposit-Taking Institution Act, 2016 (Act 930)
•Undertake a comprehensive review of the Bank's operational activities, perform test assessments of the adequacy of the internal control systems, and render professional advice as may be required
•Render an independent opinion on whether the Bank's financial statements present a true and fair view of its financial position and performance
•Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Bank's internal control and risk management systems, identify any deficiencies and provide appropriate recommendations for enhancement
•Prepare and present the audited financial statements to shareholders at the annual general meeting (AGM) is accordance with applicable statutory requirements
•Provide assurance and advisory services to the board as may be required from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•Be duly licensed in accordance with the Chartered Accountants Act, 1963 (Act 170)
•Be members in good standing with the institute of Chartered Accountants (Ghana) (ICAG)
•Be duly recognised and approved by the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to provide external audit services to financial institutions
•Possess demonstrable experience in the audit of community banks or other regulated financial institutions
•Exhibit proven expertise in external auditing and in the application of IFRS and ISA
•Maintain comprehensive knowledge of auditing principles, accounting standards and the relevant statutes and regulations governing the financial services sector
