Job Vacancy For Finance and Operations Manager
The company is a key Distributor in the cement and other building materials industry. The head office (job placement location) is in Kumasi, Ghana but has other branches outside Kumasi.
Job Summary
• The Finance and Operations Manager shall report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for the effective management of financial and operational resources of the company.
• He shall assist the Managing Director in the day-to-day running of the company with the specific role of overseeing Treasury
• Financial and management accounting, budheting, systems and controls, stock management, supplier and customer relationship management, transport and logistics and other role as may be assigned by the managing director.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and ensure proper books of accounts are kept in the company
• Responsible for banking relation, cash management and other Treasury functions
• Responsible for budgeting & budgetary controls
• Responsible for receivables and payables management
• Provide management reports periodically for decision making
• Supervise the Accounting Department to ensure proper controls are maintained to mitigate risks
• Work with the auditors (internal and external) in producing financial reports timeously
• Supervise the entire stock management system of the company
• Have direct oversight over transport and logistics management
• Advise management on procurements, maintenance and repair issues
• Assist the managing director in people culture management
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Managing Director.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in similar role
• Bachelor's degree in finance and accounting or chartered accounting qualification
• Experience in cement distribution company, transport & logistics would be added advantage
• Must possess strong knowledge in budgeting, forecasting and preparation of Finance and Management Accounts
• Should be familiar with corporate and other taxation matters
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Prior knowledge in the use of Accounting software is required
• Should be a team player and be able to work no supervision
• Must possess good leadership and communication skills
• Be willing to travel across Ghana when need be
• Must possess good customers service and supplier management skills
