Job Vacancy For Finance Manager
Key Responsibilities
• Together with the resource mobilization team, develop budgets for funding proposals that comply with (donor) guidelines, including the identification and assessment of financial risks for IRC Ghana
• Reviewing, understanding and monitoring of contractual commitments, including the timely invoicing of project costs to partners and donors
• Recording of administrative flows to provide project management information, including cash flow forecasts
• Preparing financial progress reports and project overviews to donors and ensuring that all supporting documents for donor reporting are made available according to donor requirements
• Payroll management - ensuring that staff salaries are processed timely and all statutory deductions affected and paid in accordance with the laws of Ghana
• Facilitating statutory/donor specific audits and ensure that corrective action plans approved by the Ghana team in response to all audit queries are implemented as planned in collaboration with project team
• Establish banking relations and arrangements to leverage the organization liquidity as well as to minimize bank and other related charges and risk
• Preparing end-of-project financial reports and project evaluations as well as coordinating project audits
• Facilitating the complete and proper reporting of project finances for incorporation in IRC's general ledger, quarterly reporting and annual accounts (such as work-in-progress balances and expenditure accruals)
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of information systems (Exact ERP), General Ledger and improvement of procedures
• Preparing statutory reports to ensure compliance of financial and operations systems with IRC policies, procedures, local laws and IRC Ghana annual audits
• Facilitating the complete and proper reporting of project finances for incorporation in IRC's general ledger, quarterly reporting and annual accounts (such as work-in-progress balances and expenditure accruals).

Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience
• Professional accounting certification CA, ACCA or other equivalent advance qualification will be added advantage
• Excellent knowledge of and experience with MS excel and enterprise resources and planning (ERP) software e.g Exact (Synergy) and Global) and Sumatra
• Knowledge of Government of Ghana financial management systems and procedures will be an advantage
• Pro-active, hands-on attitude with strong analytical and reporting skills
• Strong communication and negotiable skills and able to work in a multicultural and inclusive environment
• Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
Contract Period:
• The candidate will initially be offered a one-year contract including six-month's probation. The contract is renewable subject to good performance and availability of funds
