Job Vacancy For Fish Farm Project Manager At Ghana HR Solutions



Our client is currently looking to hire a competent individual to serve as the operations manager for an entire Fish Farm project to be set up in Ghana.

Role Objective

Qualified individual will serve as the main point of call for the entire project, efficiently coordinating and monitoring project activities. Will have oversight of the delivery of project outputs registering the Business with the relevant authorities, selecting a strategic location for the farm, managing it from beginning right through.

Duties

• Organising Business environment through (leading and recruiting workers on the farm, managing organisational operational activities.
• The candidate will have to prepare a business and operation plan together with the client.
• Administrative duties, including handling general paper work usually associated with a small office, report writing, managing transactions with the Bank, executing payments etc.
• Preparation and timely submission of technical, financial and other reports
• Detailed planning and regular review of progress with the client and ensure collaboration and communication between various stakeholders
• Apply best practices and tools for managing the project by effectively monitoring the project and budget
• Ensure effective communication within the project team, identify shortfalls, and devising contingency plans
• Any other duty as requested by the client.

The Person

• Education to Diploma Level
• Local person with Technical expertise with insights in Fish Farming (Both theoretical and Practical)
• Good experience in the industry (at least 3-5 years of experience in the fish farm.
• Managerial experience (leading people especially in relation to fish farms)
• Experience with leading projects (fish farming - ideally already developed a new fish farm in the past
• Knowledge of the industry including selling channels, fish distribution and suppliers in the sector
• Right potential for further entrepreneurial development (including personal integrity)
• Good track record from the past professional experience
• Open minded personality with long term vision to become an entrepreneur
• No young dreamers without any experience
• Good communication skills and good commercial understanding (right candidate will need to establish contacts with distribution channels and will need to be able to do real business)
• You must be computer based applications (MS Office, internet etc.)
