Job Vacancy For Foreman – Instrumentation



OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

•To perform installation, maintenance, repair and calibration of instruments in line with OEM specifications and standard operating procedures, and to report deviations as required.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Carry out installation, maintenance, inspection and calibration of instrumentation and control systems on scheduled equipment.
•Diagnose and repair instrumentation, control systems, starters and related electrical equipment.
•Troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation issues and correct anomalies in accordance with procedures to minimise downtime.
•Monitor high voltage system performance and support maintenance programs for associated equipment, including transformers, switchgear and substations.
•Ensure all work is completed safely in line with ISO and OSHAS standards.
•Complete safe work permits correctly and apply lock-out procedures before work begins.

Qualification Required & Experience

Education & Qualification

•HND in Electrical Engineering or Basic and Advanced Certificate in Instrumentation and Control Systems or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
•Inspecting Engineer Certification from Mineral Commission.

Experience

•Minimum of 5 years working experience, 3 years working on CIL or Milling Plant instruments.

Knowledge & Skills

•In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and control systems, including PLC configurations.
•Knowledge of maintenance and calibration of radioactive source for density measurement, flowmeter calibration, and load cell maintenance and calibration.
•In-depth knowledge of major instruments and their operations and functions in a CIL or Milling Plant.
•Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
•Ability to report accidents, incidents and near misses and participate in investigations.
•Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality of work.
•Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people of diverse cultures and values.
•Valid Ghanaian Driving License and ability to drive a light vehicle.
•Commitment to safety, attention to detail, reliability and team support.
