Job Vacancy For General Manager

A top insurance brokerage company is seeking to recruit a General Manager

Major Responsibilities

• Oversee brokerage operations to ensure efficiency, exceptional client service and cost-effective management of resources
• Work with and develop the senior leadership team to satisfy client needs develop new and cultivate existing clients and partnerships
• Ensure the company is abreast of industry trends and explore and engage market opportunities
• Develop a strategic brokerage plan that promotes and achieves revenue and growth goals of all product lines in a responsible, ethical and profitable manner.
• Prepare annual budgets and monitor performance against the approved budgets
• Provide guidance and also responsible for regulatory compliance with all insurance laws as they affect the brokerage industry
• Recommend operational procedures, policies and standards
• Provide high-level strategic and tactical leadership to the management team, provide guidance, development and training to foster individual development
• Develop and evaluate performance metrics of the team of brokers and hold them accountable to achieve identified goals and objectives
• Act as an ambassador of the organisation in a manner aligned with the organisation's values, ensuring it is well-positioned in the insurance and brokerage market place
• Motivate and maintain a high performance, innovative and results-driven team
• Support and champion the values of the organisation
• Other duties as required to achieve the vision, mission and objectives of the organisation

Qualification Required & Experience

• Previous senior executive experience in the insurance industry required
• ACII with at least 15 years post qualification experience. (MBA is considered an asset)
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to lead, mentor a management team and develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and execution
• Strong business acumen
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability
• A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and people leadership skills
• Must be between 49 and 55 years of age
• A history or a demonstrated track record of success
