A reputable company invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position: Head of Commercial
Job Purpose
•Responsible for the conceptualization and development of business ideas / opportunities through a result-oriented marketing programme to position the company strategically for growth and profit maximisation
Key Responsibilities
•Provides technical expertise in business development and marketing strategies/ plans as input into the overall corporate strategy
•Leads and directs the development of policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work plan, control systems and other monitoring mechanisms in managing the Business development department to achieve targeted objectives
•Responsible communicating, integrating and monitoring the implementation of approved business strategy and plan to all staff of the company
•Provides leadership in the formulation of the company's marketing and sales strategies to effectively improve sales productivity
•Leads and directs the conception and formulation of business ideas into saleable projects and participate in the identification of potential investors/partners for off-taker agreements in line with the company's business strategy and mandate
•Provides technical advice to management and board in the preparation of requests for proposals (RFPs) to present new opportunities for business growth
•Liaises with estate management and estate development departments in developing innovative ideas and approaches to improve the company's business operations and service delivery
•Leads the business development team in sourcing, managing and implementing new business opportunities/initiatives in line with the company's overall business strategy
•Leads and directs research / studies to identify target markets and develop applicable pricing models based on research findings for management approval
•Stays abreast with current government policy interventions on emerging economic/social development initiatives and advice management on potential business opportunities
•Identifies and attends tradeshows and other business functions to keep abreast with developments in the marketplace and industry and find potential new avenues to market the company's products
•Leads in promoting the company's brands and value through established products and service delivery platforms
•Spearheads the marketing effort/functions of the company to maintain a visible and active presence in the market and enhance new business drivers, market changes / influences, customer behavior, opportunities and competitor activity
•Assesses the company's sales activities/performance across all products and channels to identify areas of concern for the development of corrective sales tactics to address under performance and remain competitive
•Provides technical expertise in the development of marketing campaigns for new products and services and monitors its implementation to ensure compliance with approved strategies and policies
•Provides technical expertise in the formulation/development of pricing models to meet the sales requirements of the company and stay competitive within the market
•Directs research activities to identify strengthen, weakness, opportunities and threats for the company and develop measures to minimise the impact of threats and take advantage of the identified opportunities
Qualification Required & Experience
•Master's Degree or its equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics or related field
•Membership of a recognised professional body

•Experience in Real Estate Sales and Marketing
Experience
•12 years of working experience with at least 5 years in senior management position
