A reputable insurance company invites applications from highly qualified and experienced professionals to fill the position of: Head of Finance
Summary of Main Tasks and Responsibilities
• The Head of Finance will oversee the company's financial planning and operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (including IFRS 17), driving efficiency and supporting strategic decision-making at the executive level
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis
• Manage financial risk, capital adequacy and solvency monitoring
• Lead investment and treasury operations to optimize returns and liquidity
• Drive finance digitalization and automation initiatives
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to the board and regulators
• Lead and develop a high-performing finance team
• Engage with key stakeholders including actuaries, underwriters and financial institutions
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and Master's degree (preferably in Finance)
• ACCA, ICAG or equivalent
• Minimum 8 to 10 years in senior finance leadership, (insurance industry experience would be an added advantage)
• Proven knowledge in risk management, compliance and investment management (knowledge of IFRS 17 & IFRS 9 would be an added advantage)
• Strong financial planning and analysis capabilities, advanced appreciation of MS Excel & other analytical tools, ability to drive strategic initiatives and innovation
• Excellent understanding of insurance operations and financial regulations
• Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
