A reputable community Bank in the Ashanti Region is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and results oriented professional to join its senior management team as Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be based at the Head Office in the Ashanti Region and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

The ideal Candidate

We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional with strong banking experience, sound technical competence and a proven record of managerial leadership. The candidate must be capable of translating financial information into practical business decisions while maintaining strict regulatory, tax and control discipline

Core Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Finance Department
• Ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements, management accounts, budgets, forecasts and regulatory reports
• Monitor financial performance, profitability, expenditure, liquidity and cash flow
• Lead tax planning, tax compliance, statutory deductions, returns and payments applicable to the bank
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with applicable banking, accounting and tax requirements
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes and ensure prompt closure of audit issues
• Advise the CEO and Management on financial performance, risks, opportunities and strategic decisions
• Develop and mentor the finance team and promote a culture of integrity, accountability and continuous improvement

Qualification Required & Experience

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of managerial experience in banking
• Strong practical knowledge of Ghanaian banking taxation, including corporate income tax, Paye, VAT where applicable, withholding tax, SSNIT-related statutory obligations and other relevant statutory requirements
• Excellent knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, audit, internal controls and financial analysis
• Proven leadership and people-management capability
• High proficiency in accounting/financial management systems and microsoft office applications

Added Advantage

• Possession of ACCA, ICA/CA Ghana, CIB, CPA or another relevant professional qualification in finance will be an added advantage
