Job Summary
The Head of HR & Administration will provide strategic leadership for the Human Resource and Administration functions of the business. This role will ensure that HR policies, systems and procedures support the business strategy, and that the administrative operations of the company run smoothly, cost-effectively and in compliance with regulatory obligations
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, communicate and implement HR strategy in alignment with the business objectives
• Lead and manage the full HR Lifecycle recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, succession planning, employee relations and compensations & benefits
• Provide guidance and oversight on labour law compliance, HR policies, employment contract and staff welfare
• Oversee administrative functions including office services, fleet/asset management and health & safety
• Manage the HR & Admin team, build capability, drive performance and ensure a strong service culture
• Partner with senior leadership as a trusted advisor to help shape organizational culture, change management and workforce planning
• Develop and monitor HR & Admin budgets, KPIs and reports to senior management
• Ensure effective internal controls, governance and compliance in the HR & Admin domain
Qualification Required & Experience
• Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
• A certified professional in HRM, balance score card or KPI practitioner
• At least 12 years of post-qualification experience in HR & Administration, including 10 years in a managerial leadership role in the public sector
• Strong track record of developing HR strategies, designing and implementing HR systems and managing administrative functions in a public sector
• Excellent knowledge of Ghana's labour laws, regulatory requirements, HR best practices and administrative operations
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work at executive level and influence across all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, build high performing teams and drive organizational effectiveness
