A leading Pharmaceutical Company is urgently in need of qualified, hardworking and focus-driven persons as: Head of Human Resource

Job Purpose : Maintain and enhances the organisations human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programmes and practices

Reports to: General Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job description for all positions
• Maintain organisation staff my by establishing a recruiting, testing and interviewing programme, counseling managers on candidate selection, conducting and analysing exit interviews, recommending changes
• Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programmes
• Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys, scheduling and conducting job evaluations, preparing pay budgets, monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions, recommending, planning and implementing pay structure revisions
• Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors
• Maintains employee benefits programmes and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends, recommending benefit programmes to management, directing the processing of benefit claims, obtaioning and evaluating benefit contract bids, awarding benefit contracts, designing and conducting educational programmes on benefit programmes
• Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirement, conducting investigations, maintaining records, representing the organisation at hearings
• Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system, keeping past and current records
• Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees
• Maintains human resource staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring and appraising job results
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualification Required & Experience

• Human Resource Management, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Compensation and Wage Structure, support diversity, classifying employees, Ghana labour laws
• 1st degree in Human Resource Management or any related course with not less than 5 years experience
• SPHR/PHR/CIPD certified and an MBA in HRM is an added advantage

Compensation would be commensurate to qualification
