Job Vacancy For Head Of Human Resources At Lands Commission



Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointment to fill the vacant position of Head, Human Resource, at the corporate office of the Commission.

The successful candidate will be responsible to the Deputy Executive Secretary (Corporate Services).

Job Purpose
Responsible for:

•  Development of the framework of systems policies procedures for the management of human resources to the Commission to create industrial and good working climate to attract and retain the requisite skill levels and mix to facilitate the achievement of the Commission's objectives.
•  Manage the Human Resources Unit of the Commission.
•  Advice to the Deputy Executive Secretary (Corporate Services) on the development, and management of the human resources of the Commission's Secretariat.
•  Functional direction to the human resources staff in the regional and district offices.
•  Monitoring of the management of human resources in the regions and districts.
•  Direction and management of staff of the Human Resource Unit.
•  Providing administrative/secretarial support to the Appointments, Promotions and Disciplinary Committee of the Commission.
•  Implement the Human Resource Policies of the Commission.
•  Other functions assigned by the Deputy Executive Secretary (Corporate Services).

Remuneration: Remuneration is as per Lands Commission Single Spine Salary Structure (Effective January, 2010)

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Minimum of a first degree from a recognized Institution in a relevant subject plus a 12 year post qualification experience OR
•  Masters Degree in Public Administration OR Human Resource Management OR Business Administration OR related field plus 8 years post qualification experience
