Job Vacancy For Head of Maintenance At Airline Company



This new flagship airline would connect the sub-region with the rest of the world. As part of the start-up team of executives, the relevant position would enable you to have a solid input to the success and direction of this exciting new venture. These are exciting opportunities for experienced professionals. As one of the senior executives within the business you will be a key member of the team to set and develop your department.

As part of the senior management team, you will develop all policies, procedures and systems for a new Airline and will have direct responsibility for the development and implementation of the strategy for this new Airline. We offer competitive compensation and benefit packages.

Reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

•   He/she will plan, develop and implement strategy/ies for all technical and engineering services to meet agreed organisational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales (covering relevant areas of Technical Services – Aircraft Maintenance, Engineering, Workshop, Maintenance Planning, Training).
•   The Head of Maintenance will establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of operational management and development to ensure compliance with all regulations necessary for the operations of the airline (CAA, IOSA, IATA, Health Safety and Risk).
•   The Head of Maintenance will also advice the organisation on technical specification requirements for Fleet Structure, Aircraft acquisition, Lease and Disposal.
•   He/she will be accountable for the development and implementation of all Service Level Agreements that are benchmarked and evaluated timely for the efficient and legal running of the flight operations.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree or an equivalent relevant qualification
•   Qualified and fully certified Aircraft Technician
•   10 years experience in the aviation industry, with minimum 5 years in Senior and or Executive Management in an airline.
•   Industry Acumen and Commercial judgement

•   Tenacious and assertive
•   Service Orientation
