ACET is seeking to recruit a Head of Program Delivery and Impact. The Head of Program Delivery and Impact is a senior leadership role at ACET, responsible for managing and evaluating the impact of various programs and projects. This position emphasizes accountability and measurable outcomes, ensuring alignment with ACET’s research and policy focus, and meeting Project Delivery Drive (PDD) targets. The role collaborates closely with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), is part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

About the Position
Job Title: Head of Program Delivery and Impact
Reporting Line: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: Accra or Remote
Job Summary
The role-holder is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery and impact of ACET programs.
Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Management
• Support ACET’s strategic drive to become a world-class organization.
• Develop and implement strategies for effective program and project delivery.
• Lead and oversee a diverse portfolio of programs and projects.
• Allocate resources effectively to maximize impact and optimize fund use.
• Collaborate on communication strategies to enhance visibility, reputation and impact.
• Provide guidance to optimize portfolio performance through an effective project delivery model.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders in collaboration with Head of Partnerships.
• Contribute to organizational policies and procedures for project delivery and impact assessment.
• Ensure Project Management Office and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team guide projects to contribute to research and advocacy goals.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure project continuity.
• Foster a culture of learning and innovation to enhance project delivery and outcomes by leveraging new knowledge and best practices.
Program Management and Delivery
• Develop and implement frameworks for monitoring and evaluating project impact.
• Lead in assessing project results and balancing technical aspects with project delivery management.
• Present detailed reports on project performance, outcomes, and impact to donors and stakeholders.
• Ensure efficient use of funds through budget development, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned and best practices.
• Collaborate with the HR Manager to identify skills gaps and training needs and develop capacity-building initiatives.
Qualification Required & Experience
Education / Experience
• Post Graduate degree in International Development, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation or a related field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certified and or Certified Six Sigma.
• Seven years proven experience in managing and delivering complex projects within a policy or international development context.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Expertise in impact measurement and reporting, with a track record of delivering measurable results.
• Familiarity with donor-funded programs and knowledge of donor requirements and expectations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Desirable
An ability to work in French will be an asset.
