ROLES
Key responsibilities and duties of the role

•  Managing and coordinating all human resource functions at WTC Accra, related policy development and administration of staff and labour law compliance, staff processing, benefits review, administration of staff training/development and the resolution  of specific policy-related and procedural problems and enquiries
•  Developing and coordinating the human resource policies, procedures and practices of the company
•  Advising the Board of Directors and management to ensure full compliance with statutory labour and other related regulations
•  Managing the effectiveness and efficiency of all human resource functions in line with the strategic and operational goals of the company
•  Designing effective administrative support systems  for the operational departments of the company
•  Developing and instituting a program of periodic performance appraisals and compensation analysis, and review in coordination with other unit heads/managers
•  Assuming full ownership and responsibility for the efficient and effective implementation of core HR management functions, policies, and practices, including:

o    Human resource planning
o    Staff recruitment and selection
o    Staff motivation and benefit management
o    Staff/performance evaluation
o    Staff education, training and development
o    Staff welfare services
o    Health and safety services
o    Industrial relations.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum:  Bachelor’s degree plus certificate in human resource management(or equivalent)
•  Five (5) years’ experience in similar position
•  Preferred:  Master’s degree in human resource management (or equivalent)
•  Five (5) years’ experience in similar position in a start-up

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/QUALITIES
Specific knowledge/experience/qualities required for this role

•  Ability to learn and work with a bespoke database, excellent IT skills and good working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
•  Commercial Awareness
•  A self-starter with a proven ability to proactively manage a variety of tasks
•  Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills necessary to liaise and negotiate with all levels of staff, management and external parties
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Exceptional organizational skills
•  Excellent knowledge and understanding of Ghanaian labour laws
•  Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
•  Be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
•  Demonstrated high level of initiative and independence
•  Flexible and able to work under pressure
•  Energetic personality
•  Excellent team player with good leadership skills
•  Time Management skills and ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
•  Attention to detail and ability to create and maintain accurate paper records
