Job Vacancy For Human Resource Coordinator



Role Description

• The HR Coordinator will work closely with the Management team to ensure that PoP's HR practices are aligned to PoP’s mission and core values, compliant to prevailing legislations and requirements to facilitate the achievement of the objectives and targets of the organization.
• The role will also support administrative functions of the Ghana office.
• A successful candidate should have a strong administration and people management skills and must possess excellent communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop/update and implement HR policies, procedures, systems, and structures which promote equal opportunity, trust and confidence among staff and enable line management to manage and motivate staff as well as being the custodian of such policies and procedures
• Develop/update efficient & effective human resource management systems that support the design and implementation of quality programming in schools without compromising compliance
• Champion gender equality, diversity, initiatives and staff wellness including administering welfare benefits
• Support management to promote positive work environment
• Manage recruitment and hiring processes: recruiting, interviewing, conduction and analysing exit interviews, negotiations and recommending changes where applicable
• Support management to manage staff grievances and discipline issues in line with the HR policies and the labour law
• Promote corporate work ethics and values within the organization
• Assess training needs of staff and provide recommendations for training to management
• Coordinate professional development for staff
• Ensure PoP adherence to staff income tax and pension contribution payments
• Manage PoP Ghana Child Protection desk
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualification Required & Experience

• Degree in Human Resources Management/Organizational Behavior/or related field
• Substantial knowledge of Human Resource administrative procedures and systems either through experience gained from human resources working experiences or from a similar NGO
• Substantial knowledge of Ghana Labour law
• Knowledge and understanding of HR issues related to Gender, Equality, Diversity and Child Protection
• Capability to relate and work effectively across culture, more specifically the appreciation of the Ghanaian culture
• Strong commitment to PoP’s values with reasonable judgement to take independent decisions
• A strong leader with ability to motivate and inspire team to achieve superior standard in all aspects of human resource management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
