Job Vacancy For Information Security Officer At Ghana Immigration Service



The Ghana Immigration Service invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians for recruitment.

Responsibilities:

•  Serves as an internal information security consultant to the organisation
•  Documents security policies and procedures created by the Information Security Committee
•  Provides direct training and oversight to all employees, affiliate marketing partners, alliances, or other third parties, ensuring proper information security clearance in accordance with established organisational information security policies and procedures
•  Initiate, facilitates, and promotes activities to create information security awareness within the organisation
•  Performs information security risk assessments and serve as an internal auditor for security issues
•  Implements information security policies and procedures for the organisation
•  Reviews all system-related security plans throughout the organisation's network, acting as a liaison to Information Systems
•  Monitors compliance with information security policies and procedures, referring problems to the appropriate department manager
•  Co-ordinates the activities of the Information Security Committee
•  Advises the organisation with current information about information security technologies and related regulatory issues
•  Monitors the internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels are maintained
•  Prepares the disaster recovery plan
•  Issues

Qualification Required & Experience

Qualifications:

•  BSc Computer Science, with at least four (4) years experience in Managing Information Security
•  Must be certified Information Security personnel from accredited Information Security Organisation, such as ISACA, CISSP, and SSCP
•  Update with development on IT risk issues
•  Sound understanding of IT Risk Management Principles and Philosophy
•  Comprehensive knowledge of IT Operation Systems and Systems Security. Broad understanding of all IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
