A reputable Fund Management Trust in the education sector invites interested persons to apply for the position of:- Internal Auditor

Duties and Responsibilities

•   To conduct internal control, evaluation and risk assessment to identify loopholes and areas requiring management intervention to  prevent frauds, embezzlements, misapproriations, misuse and wastage aimed at ensuring that the objectives of the organisation are achieved economically, efficiently and effectively
•   To prepare annual internal audit plan based on risk assessment including tasks, assignments and timeliness for completion of each task and main activities, personnel to be employed and reporting results of audit
•   To prepare special reports when asked for by the management on various aspects of fiancial management, including asset management and security, financial reporting, decision support systems, management information systems, etc.
•   To assist the organisation to engage an independent accounting firm to assess internal controls over contract management, payments and ex-post review of procurement, etc when required
•   To ensure that systems exist for generation of accurate and reliable, financial and other information
•   To ensure that adequate internal checks such as pre-audit, adherenace to policies and procedures as well as compliance with rules, laws and regulations are in place to conform to the internal audit agency act.
•   To communicate with the external auditors on all significant matters
•   To maintain the outcome of audits and evaluations in the strictest of confidence, subject to any legal or ethical requirement for disclosure to outside authorities
•   To perform any other duties assigned by the Administrator and Deputy Administrator from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) or a recognised professional accounting body (ACCA, ACMA, CIMA, or CPA)
•   A degree in Business Administration (Finance/Accounting Option), Commerce or related field from a recognised tertiary institution
•   A minimum of twelve (12) years post qualification working experience in professional auditing and/or accounting in a reputable public or private sector organisation, five (5) years of which must be at the Senior Management level in the public sector
