Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of an:- IT Operations Manager

Job Purpose

•   The IT operations manager will manage and co-ordinate the information systems to support the computing needs of UT Holdings and its subsidiaries
•   The Manager is responsible for the operating stability, efficiency and security of the organisation's network systems and applications
•   The Job holder will participate in technology research, procurement, deployment, and configuration of new systems

Key Responsibilities

•   The Operations Manager will adminiter and maintain information technology systems (including LAN and WAN equipment).
•   will provide IT operations functions to Holdings and its subsidiaries for the organisation's standard hardware, software and voice/data network solutions
•   Responsible for the purchase, installation, and life-cycle maintenance of PCs, servers and LAN and WAN network connectivity equipment.
•   Manage the operations of business applications and ensure availability
•   Co-ordinate the implementation and testing of DR solutions
•   Manage the Group's Active Directory system
•   Perform local administration and operations functions as appropriate in accordance with standards, policies and procedures
•   Management of the Groups Cloud computing technologies

Key Competencies

•   Ability to analyse situations, evaluate alternatives and implement solutions within standards (where applicable).
•   Ability to interpret guidelines and analyse factual information to adapt or modify processes in response to changing circumstances
•   Exercises independent judgement on assigned tasks
•   Excellent communication skills

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor's degree in Computer science or related field with 8 to 10 years related work experience
•   Professional certifications in Cisco, Redhat Linux and Microsoft
•   Demonstated experience with Windows and Linux Server operating systems
•   Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Active Directory services
