Job Vacancy For Judicial Secretary



The Judicial Service of Ghana invites applications from qualified Lawyers for the position of Judicial Secretary.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Justice in the management of both the judiciary and judicial service.
• Assist the Chief Justice in both the general administration and court administration of the judicial service
• Function as the Chief Operating Officer of the Judicial Service under the direct supervision of the Chief Justice.
• Be the custodian of all assets of the Judicial Service
• Be the spending officer and ensure that the service complies with all financial/procurement and other regulations necessary for the governance of a public sector institution such as the Judicial Service.
• Assist the Chief Justice in managing the business of the Judicial Council and the General Legal council
• Serve as Secretary to both the Judicial Council and the General Legal Council
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Justice

Qualification Required & Experience

• Applicant must be a Ghanaian enrolled on the roll of lawyers in Ghana
• Must be not less than 12 years standing at the Bar
• A Master's Degree in Public Administration or Business Administration would be an added advantage
• Must have considerable administrative experience in public service
• Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must be a team player who is able to work collaboratively with and through others
• Should be a person of high moral character and proven integrity
• Must be computer literate and able to use Word Processing Software, e.g. Microsoft Word, etc
