The Ministry of Education invites interested and qualified applicants to apply for: Language Learning Support coordinator

Job Purpose

• To establish the strategic framework for the development of an integrated and comprehensive educational sector policies and plans to facilitate language development, acquisition and use as a medium for education and socio-economic asset

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinates the development and enforcement of policies and standards for the development and learning of local and international languages in Ghana
• Ensures that all activities of relevant sector agencies are consistent with prevailing government policies and objectives for language development and learning
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of plans for the development laguages as a medium for education to ensure that performance targets are met by all stakeholders
• Establish the appropriate internal structures, human resources, decision-making systems and processes that will continually promote support for language learning across the country
• Establish a portfolio of plans and projects with the view of addressing special interest and/or inadequacies in language development support plans and policies
• Initiate the formulation and review of policies based on successful models and best practices for support for language development

Qualification Required & Experience

• Must possess a Master's Degree with research experience from an accredited tertiary institution
• A minimum of 10 years post qualification relevant working experience
