Job Vacancy For Lead Chemist and Environmental Engineer (Kpone-Tema)



Our company, formed by nationals and international group of investors committed to operate and maintain power plants sustaining high standards of environmental control, safety and reliability, is seeking for a power plant project in Kpone-Tema area, to recruit individuals that wants to grow professionally and with the requisites qualifications and experience for the following position: Lead Chemist and Environmental Engineer

Summary Job Responsibilities:

•   Adhere to plant operational policies and procedures for production goal achievement and handle work safely
•   Develop the Power plant chemical manual
•   Manage the long term chemistry of the HRSGs, GT fuel additives, close cooling water chemistry, water treatment plant, seawater intake chlorine dosing etc and manage the compliance of the Power Plant in regards with emissions and effluents, limits and obligations specified in the plant environmental impact study
•   Implement plant chemistry best practices in accordance with OEM and international standards
•   Make decisions to resolve plant maintenance problems with immediate, medium and long term consequences
•   Lead a team of 5 chemists to achieve excellence on accuracy of analysis results and timeliness consistent reports

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Accredited degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with Environmental qualifications and (5) five or more years of experience in the field and managing a team of chemist
•   Experience of reporting to environmental monitoring authories.
•   Reports to operations manager
