Job Vacancy For Locomotives and Railway Maintenance Manager
Purpose of the Role
• The purpose of the role is to oversee the management of all railway lines, train / locomotives and other equipment to ensure an effective and efficient movement of ore, waste material, construction material and workers underground
• To meet the set targets and results, the manager must conduct regular planned and unplanned inspections and engage in the proactive and preventive maintenance as well as repairs of the locomotive, wagons railway lines and other equipment
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, Civil, Building Technology, etc) with minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience OR
• Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance), with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience
• Engineering Superintendent or Sectional Engineer or inspecting Engineer certificate of competence from the inspectorate division of the minerals commission (IDMC) certifications
• Professional Engineer (PE) Licence from either the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) or institution of Engineering and Technology, Ghana (IET-GH).
Competence and Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles, with significant experience in mining operations
Soft Skills and Technical Skills
• Technical knowledge in mining engineering
• Technical knowledge in Railway and Locomotives
• Ability to lead team and team management
• Ability to solve problems and analytical skills
• Resource and budgetary allocation management
• Knowledge in safety and health for mine
