A reputable Multinational Beverage Company

The Maintenance manager shall support his line managers in production management and quality control management. His principal responsibility will be to ensure maintenance and logistic requirements of the production plants to enhance productivity, cost efficiency and raw material management for production.

The Maintenance manager reports to the CEO.

Responsibilities will include:

•  Head, general plant maintenance & mechanical engineering
•  Raw material & spare part management
•  Cost and waste control management

Role Specific Requirements:

•  Prepare a comprehensive plant maintenance policy and closely monitor its execution.
•  Directly supervise overall plant functioning and performance to minimize production downtime through breakdowns.
•  Advise the business on key investment decisions concerning machine and equipment and part replacement.
•  Develop a workable raw material draw down program in consultation with his line managers to ensure consistency in workflow and productivity.
•  Adequate advance notices to management on spare part requirements and spares held on hand in stock.
•  Directly crosscheck raw material requisitions against job orders and monitor waste with all jobs executed
•  Liaise with the storekeeper in prompt requisitioning of raw materials held both on site and at bonded warehouses.
•  Assist in the promotion of cost efficiency, productivity, total quality, and maximum security
•  Close evaluation of materials issued for production and output from production, paying particular attention to waste.
•  Determine detailed parameters and guides for accurate measurement of raw materials per job or product type

Minimum Qualification:
The Maintenance Manager should bring a strong technical expertise in the management of a printing plant and should possess the following characteristics;

•  First degree  in mechanical or electric engineering from a recognized university
•  5 years relevant work experience in a similar role
•  Good oral and written communication
•  Ability to collate relevant technical information and present comprehensive reports on his departmental issues in a timely manner
•  Excellent leadership qualities in ensuring discipline and productivity within the maintenance department while maintaining the respect and confidence of all his staff.
•  Strong IT background in  MS suite

Experience:

5 years relevant work experience in similar role
