Reports to the Chief Finance Officer

Scope:
The role of the Management Accountant is to provide timely, accurate and reliable information for control, performance evaluation and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

•  Budget planning and preparation
•  Budgetary control
•  Product closing and profitability analysis
•  Inventory accounting
•  Analysis of materials consumption & Variances
•  Preparation of financial statements
•  Monitoring capital expenditure, fixed assets management and projects appraisal
•  Train & develop team

Qualification Required & Experience

•  B.Com, BSc (Accounting/Finance) or its equivalent from a recognised university
•  Professional Qualification - ICA III or ACCA II
•  More than three years practical experience in management accounting in manufacturing organisation

Competencies:

•  High high proficiency in computer applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Internet skills)
•  Be self motivated, have ability to analyse and write good reports
•  Have good leadership, people management and communication skills particularly attuned to working well with non-finance professionals
•  Be willing to work extra hours
•  Experience and understanding of manufacturing accounts
