Twists and Locs is Ghana’s leading natural hair salon, providing high quality services in the care, treatment and beautification of all forms and types of natural African hair. We take care of loose hair, locs and everything in between. We provide braids, twists, loc retwisting, coloring, styling and barbering. In our efforts to cater fully to our clients we are expanding our physical locations and are including other services namely massage spa services, manicure and pedicure services.

Twists & Locs serves individuals from diverse backgrounds and has clients ranging from students, to working professionals. Our desire is to provide them with high quality, excellent service to enhance the innate beauty of their natural hair. We promote the education of Ghanaians on natural hair and we do this through our hair meet ups which we organize with a number of partners and our annual Natural Beauty Bazaar.

Job Summary

Business administration

•   Provide daily supervision of the teams and provide managerial oversight of branch operations
•   Provide leadership by assisting the Owner with the development of annual plans, project concepts, business leads etc
•   Execute on plans and provide evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.

Staff management

•   Recruitment,  contracting, training and scheduling of staff
•   Performance management and identifying improvements
•   Review activity reports, and other performance data such as attendance

Events management:

•   Assist in the planning, designing and execution of events either for internal purposes or projects
•   Ability to work with external partners in supporting of projects we may sponsor or be a part
•   Organizing and leading the sales team or stylist team for vending or representation at events

Marketing and PR:

•   Become an Ambassador of the Twists & Locs brand
•   Attend and network at social/business events and be active online to understand consumers
•   Identify, engage and develop potential future promoters, partners and supporters of the company
•   Execute online and offline marketing initiatives, namely responding to emails, updating social media and the company websites
•   Develop relationships with clients to get feedback and identify client success stories

Administrative management

•   Ensure documents, invoices, important records and all communication are filed correctly etc.
•   Maintain general oversight and keep stocks by purchasing, re-ordering and maintaining supplies
•   Liaise with accountant to ensure accuracy of sales and stock books
•   Assist in development of forms and tools to increase company efficiency

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of four years of experience in business management.
•   A minimum of three years of experience in personnel management /supervision.
•   An entrepreneurial and problem solving attitude.
•   Understanding of basic accounting/ Book keeping
•   Proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
•   Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team.
•   Effective problem - solving skill and ability to work independently
•   Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
•   Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.
•   Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
•   Must have natural hair or be willing to keep natural hair
