The AGA Africa Business Unit is seeking experienced and self-motivated persons to join our Iduapriem team.

The Opportunity

Oversee the execution of HR processes, policies and technologies that help to deliver an efficient and effective employee experience. The role incumbent will also oversee teams of HR Systems and HR Ops Specialists who focus more on the day-to-day tasks, dealing with a wide range of HR-related services supportive of operational needs.

Accountabilities:

•Oversee all operational HR activities to ensure they are executed efficiently to support business operations
•Oversee the HR Information System (HRIS) and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and proper utilization.
•Implement HR SOX controls on HRIS and close out audit findings on HR systems.
•Performance Management: Support the Performance Management system and processes as one of the key disciplines for capability development and performance improvement.
Inclusion, Diversity & Equity: Support the site-based implementation of IDE and Wellbeing initiatives.
•Workforce Planning Support: Assist in the preparation of workforce data for budgeting and planning purposes, aligning resources with operational needs.
•Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in HR processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
•Policy Development and Implementation: Support to develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
•Team Leadership: Lead and mentor HR operations & HR Systems team members, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
•Budget Management: Manage the HR operations budget and ensure cost-effective operations.
•Talent Acquisition Support: Support the recruitment and hiring process by managing job postings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.
•Project Management: Manage HR projects and initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
•Employee Relations: Work with IR & Labor relations team to address employee inquiries and concerns related to HR policies and procedures.
•Compensation and Benefits: Assist with the administration of compensation and benefits programs.

About You

QUALIFICATIONS

•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field is essential.
•First degree in any other area but with Advanced degrees (such as a Master’s degree or MBA) with a focus on Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, or Business Administration with relevant experience is desirable

EXPERIENCE

•5-7 years of experience in an HR operational support role with at least 2 years in an operations-based HR generalist role.
•Generalist experience in all areas of the Human Resources discipline i.e., industrial relations, training and development, HR Systems, remuneration and benefits, as well as staffing (i.e. recruitment, selection and placement)
•Experience within the mining or related industry would be advantageous.
•Knowledge of labor laws and regulations applicable to the mining industry.
•Planning, Reporting, Budgeting, HR policy, legislative compliance.
•Strong knowledge of relevant HR Information Systems i.e. SAP SuccessFactors.
•Strong analytical and data management skills for accurate HR reporting and decision support.
•Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle dynamic routines and meet critical deadlines.
•Effective communication skills for interfacing with employees and management across operational areas. Facilitation skills.
