Job Summary:

• The Manager Logistics is responsible for executing logistics partnerships with an aim to drive revenue, increase usage and provide seamless customer experience in the E-commerce product segment.

Job Role

• Manage the logistics partners onboarding and assist in the business and relationship development for prospects
• Support revenue, profitability, and user uptake
• Assist line manager in evaluating and assessing the strategic and economic impact of potential local opportunities with logistics partners
• Assist in review of the sub-functional strategy and roadmap, to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem
• Drive initiatives to ensure that the OpCo generates revenues on all e-commerce products and services
• Coordinate coordination & shipment management by partners/3rd parties with regard to E-commerce products in the OpCo
• Identify local bottlenecks / challenges that may impede set technical or financial goals and escalate to functional lead/group, as required
• Consult with multiple departments in the OpCo and group teams to ensure that user experience across the E-commerce platform is consistent and of a high standard
• Oversight scope of the supply chain, distribution, and customer experience.
• Responsible to meet the logistics target and key performance indicators; ratio of successful deliveries, delivery, and customer satisfaction rating, E2E customer compliance and cost optimization compliance.
• Formulate and build a competitive logistics marketplace for Ghana.
• Cost optimization and automation of logistics process.
• Contribute to development projects for MoMo Marketplace ecosystem.
• Manage team (s) across logistics framework.
• Manage and standardize SLAs and Processes for the 3rd Party Logistics providers
• standardize management level reporting, escalation process and mechanisms for that 3PL performance deep dive Assist in review of the functional strategy and roadmap, in collaboration with the functional lead, to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem
• Implement and execute policies, procedures and guidelines cascaded by the functional lead
• Comply with the set governance mechanisms, under supervision from the functional lead
• Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of E-commerce logistics strategies and propose offers for improvements
• Identify and document key risks, issues and dependencies and implement mitigation actions as approved
• Assist in managing function’s budgets in line with business objectives, when required
• Assist in managing project initiative budgets in line with business objectives, when required
• Report daily progress made within the function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set.
• Address other tasks and duties, as assigned by line manager

Qualification Required & Experience

Education

• A University Degree in any related discipline or its equivalent in area of specialization – Supply Chain, Logistics
• A Professional qualification in a related field is a plus.

Experience

• A minimum of 5 years’ total experience in E-commerce and/or seller management or related field is required with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Experience in E-Commerce, Fintech, banking is preferred
• Experience working in a global/multinational enterprise with a good understanding of emerging markets is preferred
