Job Vacancy For Marketing & Business Development Manager



A reputable banking and financial services training, consultancy and research institution is seeking to engage the services of Business Development Manager. The institution is recent years has expanded its scope of activities within the Business Development Centre at the core of its commercialization strategy.

Duties & Responsibilities

•   Coordinate commercial courses, research and consultancy activities for institution
•   To formulate marketing strategies in line with the commercial objectives of the institution
•   Work closely with the faculty members to identify and evaluate business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals
•   To keep track of market intelligence in the banking and financial industry with respect to market development, competitive activity, clients needs etc.
•   To develop and present relevant business proposals to clients
•   To meet and maintain relations with key clients
•   To form strategic alliance, securing new channels of income generations, identifying enterprise - wide opportunities
•   Work in a team and responsible for achieving set commercial programme income targets
•   To drive the activities that boost the institutions internally generated funds (IGF)

Skills and Specifications

•   Excellent team spirit and interpersonal skills for effective co-ordination between faculty, partners and the outside world
•   Have excellent presentation skills
•   Good communication and networking skills

Personal Specifications

•   Should be a strategic and commercially aware manager to drive the business side of the institution
•   Should be able to work with the faculty members to make informed decisions and provide insightful analysis that identifies business opportunities and exposures
•   Should play a key role in supporting the institution's effort to develop new channels and services to the institution
•   First class communication skills, written and oral, are essential
•   Should be self-driven with ability to identify, plan and prioritize business opportunities

Age: Between 35 - 45 years

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A first degree in marketing, economics or in related discipline, plus MBA or a second degree in Banking/Finance, Economics.
•   A professional qualification in Banking (ACIB) shall be an added advantage

Experience

•   Applicants should have at least 8 years relevant post qualification experience

Tenure

•   Appointment will be for three years and may be renewed depending on performance
