Poised to take our next steps in terms of expansion and growth, we are seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented and experienced professional to take up the following position:- Mechanical Engineer

Reports to: Line Manager

Your Accountabilities amongst others, will include:-

•  Assist in managing mechanical maintenance activities and programmes which include projects, design, installation and repair of plant and equipment on the production line improve line performance and product availability
•  Carry out all preventive, condition base, and breakdown maintenance programmes for the section
•  Assist in the evaluation and modification of preventive maintenance programmes to be cost effective and efficient to improve equipment availability
•  Assist in planning preparation and execution of annual overhaul of equipment within the working area to improve efficiency and extend the life span of equipment
•  Support in managing and developing associates in the section
•  Manage the activities of third party contractors to ensure adherence to contract specifications and company health safety and environmental standards
•  Manage the implementation of security, safety and disaster recovering programmes for the section
•  Assist in preparing daily, weekly and monthly report on all maintenance activities in the section
•  Ensure Quality, Environmental & Occupational safety and Health (QEOSH) compliance on site.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Have BSc in Electrical Engineering from an accredited University
•  Minimum of five (5) years successful experience in managing production in a high speed facility
•  Demonstrated people and leadership skills within track record of achieving positive business results
•  Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and good understanding of statistical process control
•  Proficient in use of Microsoft suite – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint etc.
