A reputable fast growing state-of-the-art hospital in the Greater Accra region is looking for results-oriented Doctors for employment.
Accountable To: Medical Director
Minimum Qualification: MBChB, MD, or its equivalent. Should be a member of GMDC
Minimum Experience: 2 years post qualification experience
Main Duties and Responsibilities
•  Provide out-patient care and refer appropriately
•  Assess and implement management plan for patients
•  Undertake out-of-hours duties as specified by Head of Unit/Department
•  Assist/perform surgical operations/clinical procedures within competency
•  Provide support and information to patients / relatives as and when necessary
•  Provide in-patient are
•  Accurately and legibly record patients care and management packages
Communication and Working Relationships
•  Promote and safeguard the interest and well-being of the patient at all times
•  Always act in a dignified and responsible manner towards patients, visitors and colleagues
•  Effectively work in a team with other health workers
•  Be a visible and approachable resource for patient services and personal issues.
Personal and People Development
•  Develop and maintain continuing personal and professional development to meet the changing demands in the area of clinical services
•  Monitor own performance against agreed objectives and standards
•  Keep up-to-date on job related issue as appropriate
•  Understake/participate in staff appraisal and personal development within the facility.
•  Act as a role model in professional and personal attributes for all members of staff
•  Assist in the maintenance and development of team morale, be supportive to all staff
•  Contribute to continuing Professional Development (CPA) of staff
•  Keep log of own performance and in-service training log for purposes of appraisal
Management
•  Ensure efficient management of resources under care
•  Promote the development and maintenance of teamwork
•  Participate in roster planning
•  Promote a positive image of the hospital
•  Participate in any cost improvement measures
•  Contribute to devising of improved job methods for increasing efficiency
•  Participate in the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with Guide hospital lines.
