We are seeking a diligent, highly skilled, and professional Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnostic Testing: Perform a wide range of analytical laboratory tests (including Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Immunology, and Parasitology) following established institutional SOPs.
• Quality Assurance: Execute internal quality control protocols and participate in external quality assessment schemes to maintain the highest standard of diagnostic accuracy.
• Equipment Management: Operate, calibrate, and maintain state-of-the-art laboratory instrumentation, ensuring swift troubleshooting and minimal downtime.
• Result Interpretation & Reporting: Validate, interpret, and accurately log results into the hospital's information management system, ensuring rapid turnaround for critical values.
• Patient Care & Safety: Adhere strictly to infection control, biosafety, and chemical safety guidelines during specimen collection (phlebotomy) and processing.
• Collaboration: Partner effectively with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless, patient-centric healthcare experience.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Education: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized, accredited institution.
• Licensure: Valid and current professional license from the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), Ghana.
• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of post-internship working experience in a busy, modern medical laboratory environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in automated laboratory instrumentation, manual testing techniques, and basic computer/LIS proficiency.
