Job Summary

The Planned Prenthood Association of Ghana (PPAG), hereby invites result - oriented and committed persons to apply for the position of MIDWIVES, in the Association.

Purpose of the Position:

To provide integrated quality SRH services to clients at the clinics.

Key Responsibilities Include:

•   Ensure quality SRH care in our clinics
•   Ensure effective and efficient provision of clinical services and service delivery
•   Ensure that clients and providers rights are adhered to
•   Initiate clinic based proposals
•   Undertake basic clinic oriented research
•   Assist the sessional Doctor in performing specialized clinic duties
•   Provide safe FP methods and counseling to clients
•   Provide counseling in HIV/AIDS and management of STIs
•   Provide post abortion care services and counseling
•   Keeps records of all drugs and contraceptives
•   Prepares quarterly forecast and keeps track of income and expenditure
•   Prepares monthly commodity tracking reports
•   Treats minor ailments and provides MCH services
•   Provides training for other SRH related organizations
•   Assist in training youth facilitators and peer educators in SRH
•   Assist in monitoring and supervising clinic activities
•   Prepares and submit service statistics and other reports on project activities
•   Supervises and ensures the effective implementation of BCC activities in the clinic environment
•   Ensures effective infection control
•   Responsible for the efficient running of the clinic for sustainability and increase in local income

The Package

•   The position is based in Accra, Kumasi, Sunyani, Cape Coast and Kparigu
•   The position comes with an attractive salary
•   S/He reports to the Quality of Care Coordinator

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A State Registered Midwife
•   A minimum of five (5) years relevant working experience
•   Have a valid PIN from NMC
