Description Of Job

CARE International is recruiting candidates for an anticipated Complementary Basic Education project in Ghana.

Job Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (MEM) will work closely with the Planning, Budget, and Monitoring and Evaluation Department and the Education Management Information Systems Department to provide effective monitoring of the work of the Implementing Partners and the Volunteer Facilitators in the CBE learning centres.

The MEM will monitor project process, establish reporting mechanisms, aggregating data into progress reports, participate in annual reviews, and design a system for performance measurement of the Implementing partners.

Qualification Required & Experience

Key Qualification, Skills & Competences:

•  Master’s Degree in monitoring, assessment, statistics or a related field
•  6 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation and research, with a focus on education and use of ICT and databases.
•  Exceptional technical skills in data management, M&E, survey design, implementation, mapping, and/or assessment.
•  Proficiency in Excel, Word, data bases, and other data analysis software desired.
•  Prior experience and familiarity with international development partners’ monitoring and evaluation procedures and reporting requirement are a plus
•  Ability to train, coach and mentor counterpart professionals is a must.
•  Experience in knowledge management and communications would be desirable.
•  Availability to travel extensively in Ghana
