Job Vacancy For Office Assistant At Sustainable Fisheries Management Project (SFMP)



The Sustainable Fisheries Management Project (SFMP) is a 5-year food security project, headquartered in Accra. It seeks to rebuild targeted marine fisheries stocks (which are depleted but important to the local economy) through the adoption of sustainable fishing practices and exploitation levels. The project contributes to the government of Ghana's fisheries development objectives and will work closely with government agencies, fisheries authorities, policy makers and fisher folks in the entire coastal stretch of Ghana to achieve these goals.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

•   Responsible for all the front office and assist with Admin related support
•   Under the supervision of the Office Coordinator, responsible for managing office supplies, cleaning services and other tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operations of the facilities and grounds
•   Assist the Office Coordinator to implement the SFMP paper and electronic filing systems and ensure they are property structured and efficiently maintained and current
•   Assist Office Coordinator to provide planning and logistics support for SFMP conferences, workshops and trainings in Ghana and internationally
•   Assist Office Manager to administers an inventory of SFMP property, supplies and capital goods
•   Carry out other duties related to administrative as may be determined by the supervisor

Qualification Required & Experience

•   At least a Senior Secondary School Certificate
•   A valid driving license, with a minimum of 5 years driv-ing experience
•   Abundant energy with good health status
•   Ability to drive long distance on hard and difficult terrain
•   Knowledge of computer use is helpful, though not essential
