Job Vacancy For Operations Officer



A reputable Savings and Loans company operating in various parts of the country has job vacancies available for: Operations Officer

The Operations Officer reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for the following:

• Support the Branch Manager in managing the Branch by ensuring all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff
• Assist Branch Manager in meeting the branch's sales goals by generating deposit accounts and cross selling the company's products
• Assist the branch manager in the generation of deposits and other sales activities
• Serve as custodian for the cash vault opening and closing the vault, maintaining control of all cash and verify daily cash
• Assist the Branch Manager to ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures and statutory regulations
• Ensure cash is appropriately handled and managed at the branch
• Assist other branch staff in their daily duties as and when required
• Act as backup to Branch Manager and customer service officers

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum of 1st Degree preferably in a business-related field
• Possess of a 2nd Degree in business related field will be an added advantage
• Possession of a part qualification in professional banking will be an added advantage

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in branch operations (supervisory role)
• Knowledge of Banking Operations, processes and procedures
• Knowledge of the financial services industry
• IT savvy, knowledge of Microsoft suite and Core Banking software
