We are seeking applications for suitable candidates for the following position: Partnership Advisor

Responsibilities:

•   Coordinate and build consensus amongst research universities and public/private institutions
•   Facilitate the creation of Field Day/ Demonstration that is focused on locally produced and certified inputs
•   Identify and develop a list of companies with verified technologies to provide demonstrations through poultry associations
•   Assist poultry association to rate and select companies whose technologies may be eligible for GPP’s matching support
•   Assist the Policy Coordinator to provide support to Veterinary Services Directorate to assume an inspection and enforcement role regarding product quality standards
•   Assist Veterinary Services Directorate to improve the verification and branding of certified products
•   Ensure that commercial feed mills have access to laboratory facilities to verify feed formulation and basic quality
•   Identifies and helps mobilize Short Term Technical Assistance to address enterprise development needs, both sector-wide and for individual enterprises

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agribusiness or a related field from a recognized university
•   Minimum five (5) years of experience, providing agricultural research, business development to the private sector
•   Proven ability to develop business competitiveness strategies
•   Excellent critical thinking skills and judgment
•   Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
•   Demonstrated ability to make decisions that require substantial interpretation of established policies and procedures, clear  objectives, and business/professional standards
•   Proven ability to plan appropriate training, create collaborative relationships, create and sustain a-participatory environment
•   Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with donors, project stakeholders, in-country collaborators and staff at all levels of the organization
