Job Vacancy For Policy Coordinator At ACDI/VOCA



We are seeking applications for suitable candidates for the following position: Policy Coordinator

Responsibilities:

•   Work with poultry associations and other stakeholders of the poultry value chain to define organizational priorities and develop effective advocacy platforms
•   Strengthen poultry associations to provide critical advocacy, promotional and technical advisory services to members.
•   Organize the producer groups and emphasize institutional performance, where individual organizations and agencies will clearly assess their complimentary roles in creating an investment environment that encourages competitive sector growth
•   In conjunction with the Grant Specialist, will work with the associations to outline series of performance - based activities that will be paid according to set milestone.
•   Incorporates GPP gender mainstreaming and environmental management plans into daily operations
•   Promotes GPP programs, facilitates successful coordination of activities, and ensures transparency

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture or social sciences
•   Minimum five(5) years of experience working in a multi-cultural environment, providing services to the private sector.
•   Excellent critical thinking skills and judgement. Proven willingness to make timely and sound decisions. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
•   Advanced computer skills in a Windows based environment including Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel
•   Demonstrated ability to make decisions that require substantial interpretation of established policies and procedures, clear objectives and business / professional standards
