The Search Committee of the Community College Council requests prospective candidates to apply for the position of Principal before 15th December, 2012.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate shall:

•  Provide overall academic and professional leadership necessary for the rapid growth and development of a newly established, privately-owned degree rewarding tertiary institution in Takoradi
•  Be the Chief Executive Officer of the College, directing and controlling a large number of students as well as variety of teaching and supporting staff
•  Ensure effective implementation of all College plans and programmes designed to achieve the goals of the institution
•  Implement all decisions and directives of council, and report directly to, and be responsible to the Council; and
•  Perform any other duties which the Council may assign to him/her from time-to-time

Salary and Conditions of Service: There is a competitive salary package and other fringe benefits attached to the position

Qualification Required & Experience

The Principal must:

•  Hold a relevant PhD in a specialised field of study, plus at least a Master's degree in pedagogy;
•  Have taught/researched in a University for not less than 10 years;
•  Have held leadership position(s) such as Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Principal/President, Vice Principal/Vice President, Dean of Head of Department in a University for not less than three years;
•  Have demonstrated competence in teaching and administrative leadership, and be innovative
•  Have distinguished himself/herself as a scholar of great repute, with a considerable number of publications; and
•  Have ability to source for funding, and relate well with all stakeholders as well as political and education authorities
